Andrew Edwards
Born in Burma in November 1940, shortly before the Japanese invasion, Andrew Edwards has lived in the UK since the autumn of 1942 apart from two years studying at Harvard University in the USA. After attending Scottish schools and St John’s College Oxford, he worked in public service roles as a Civil Servant (mainly at the Treasury) and then as a Public Sector Consultant for over 50 years before developing to the full a lifelong passion for composing music alongside founding and conducting the Academy Choir & Orchestras in Wimbledon and writing a few books.

This website is mainly intended to provide a handy list of Andrew’s musical compositions, including guidance on how to obtain the relevant scores and booklets and in some cases listen to the archive recordings (not least for his latest Oratorio, Galilee to Jerusalem). It also lists, with the briefest of commentaries, some books which Andrew has authored or co-authored and an even briefer summary of his public service work over 50 years.
